Place one egg in a small saucepan. Fill the pot with water so that the water completely covers the egg. Place the pot on a medium hot plate. For this egg salad sandwich we will use a hard-boiled egg, so cook the egg for 12 minutes.

Take two large onion leaves. Wash the onion leaves well and place them on a chopping board. Cut the onion leaves into small pieces.

Take one dill sprig. Wash the dill sprig, dry it and place it on a chopping board. Chop the dill well.

Take one small red onion. Peel the onion, wash it. Cut a quarter of the red onion and place it on a chopping board. Chop the onion well.

Place the pan on a medium hot hob. Add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to the pan. Spread the olive oil evenly over the pan. When the oil in the pan is hot, add two slices of sandwich bread to the pan. In this recipe we use wholemeal sandwich bread, which is not only tasty but also has fibre. If you don't have wholemeal bread at home, you can also use white-flour sandwich bread.

Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper on the bread you put in the pan. Sprinkle both sides of the bread.
Bake the bread for about 5-6 minutes (2-3 minutes on each side of the bread), until the bread is sufficiently browned and crispy. Watch the bread carefully to make sure it does not burn. When the bread is sufficiently browned, remove the pan from the hob.

In the meantime, the egg should be cooked. Peel the boiled egg and place it in the salad bowl where you will mix the egg with the other ingredients. Choose a bowl large enough to comfortably mix the egg and the other ingredients. Mash the egg well.

Add the chopped red onion, chopped dill and onion leaves to the bowl with the egg.

Add some freshly ground black pepper to the bowl with the ingredients
Add a little salt as well

Put one tablespoon of mayonnaise.
