Peel one small red onion. You will need 1/5 of a red onion to make this sandwich. So cut off 1/5 of the red onion, wash it well and place it on a chopping board. Chop the red onion well and put it in the same bowl as the tuna.

Take a small piece of cheese. Fermented or hard cheese is best for this tuna sandwich. We use a fermented cheese. Grate the cheese finely. Add the grated cheese to the bowl with the other ingredients.

Add some freshly ground black pepper to the dish

Add one tablespoon of mayonnaise to the dish.

Once the sandwich filling is evenly distributed, place 6 slices of sliced cucumber on top.

Take the second slice of sandwich bread and place it on the tuna sandwich. Cut the sandwich in half.
If you want to keep the tuna sandwich warm and crispy, you can toast the sandwich bread in a frying pan before applying the tuna filling.
Toast the bread in the pan for about 6 minutes (3 minutes on each side) over medium heat. Don't forget to add a little (1 tbsp) olive oil to the pan to prevent the bread from burning.
