How to make avocado tuna and tomato pasta at home?
Take a medium sized pot. Fill 1/3 of the pot with water. Place the pot on a medium-hot stovetop.
Add one teaspoon of salt to a pot of water.
Add two tablespoons of olive oil to a pot of water.
When the water in the pot is hot, add the pasta to the pot. Use 1 handful of pasta per serving of this dish. In our recipe (video), we make two portions.
Leave the pot with the pasta to cook over medium heat. Cook for the amount of time indicated by the manufacturer of your pasta (on the package). We usually boil the pasta for about 12-14 minutes until the pasta becomes soft.
Meanwhile, while the pasta is cooking, take a medium-sized avocado. Cut the avocado in half. Cut off both ends of the avocado, which are usually hard, so don't use them in cooking.
Separate the avocado from the skin using a tablespoon. Place the avocado in a separate bowl. Taking a fork, mash the avocado until thick.
Add one small can of tuna marinated in olive oil to the bowl with the avocado.
Add some salt and freshly ground black pepper to the bowl with the avocado and tuna. Mix everything well.
Take a medium-sized white onion, peel it and place it on a cutting board.
Finely chop the onion into small cubes.
Also take 3 cloves of garlic. Peel the garlic and cut it into small pieces on a cutting board.
Take a small frying pan and place it on a medium hot hob.
Add a little olive oil to a hot pan. When the olive oil is hot, add the chopped onions and garlic to the pan.
Fry the onions and garlic in a pan until they soften and turn yellow. Bake for about 4 minutes.
While the onions and garlic are cooking, take a medium-sized tomato, wash it and place it on a cutting board. Cut the tomato into small cubes. Add the diced tomatoes to the pan with the onions and garlic. Mix everything well and add a little salt and ground black pepper. Fry the tomato in the pan for another 4-5 minutes until it softens and turns into a winey mass.
Meanwhile, the pasta is cooked. Remove the pot of pasta from the stove. Drain the water from the pasta. The pasta must be dry.
Take a large bowl and pour the pasta into it.
Pour the tomato from the pan into the same container with the pasta.
Pour the mashed avocado into the same bowl.
Mix everything well.
