How to make Tomato Basil Pasta at home?

In this recipe, we make 1 portion of tomato basil pasta, so if you want to make more than 1 portion, use the appropriate amount of ingredients.

Fill a medium pot with some water. Add enough water to make it 4 times the volume of the pasta.

We add about 1/4 cup of water.

Place the pot on a medium-hot stovetop.

Add some salt (about 1/2 tsp) and some olive oil (about 2-3 tbsp) to the pot. Olive oil is needed so that the pasta does not stick together during cooking.

When the water in the pot heats up, add the pasta. If you are using spaghetti-type pasta, there is no need to break it. The pasta will submerge itself in the water when it softens without boiling.

Cook the pasta for about 12-14 minutes on medium heat.

While the pasta is cooking, take a medium-sized skillet and place it on a medium-hot stovetop. Add a few tbsp of olive oil to the pan.
